These days the news of failed marriages and broken homes seems to be endless. It is becoming the order of the day with the never ending news of infidelity, divorce, domestic violence and many more other factors which have succeeded in paving their way into marriages and destroying homes and families setting the members of the home apart with hatred.
In as much as no marital relationship is perfect it still doesn’t mean that couples should let this imperfection destroy their homes. Everyday we see and hear cases of destroyed marriages of over 5 years,10 years,20years or more. Most people are oblivious of the fact that they are in a “holy” matrimony which needs time, patience, forgiveness, trust, love, mutual understanding and support for it to keep going and also a lot of prayers.
Making a marriage work, the both sides (man and woman) have to be involved . Prayers have a lot to do with marriages. Prayers go a long way for married couples. There are a few people who don’t regard prayers and as such don’t pray for God’s intervention in their marriages while others only pray when there is something going wrong in their marriages. People should see prayers as an important part of marriage. Prayers strengthen marriages and open locked doors for couples. It takes a marriage to a whole new level.
Most people do not know the true meaning of marriage. Marriage is a union that has to do with the coming together of both parties(man and woman) spiritually and physically who have decided and agreed between themselves that they want to live together till death do them part. Marriage is a bonding. In marriage the man and the woman become one body and one soul. Marriage is not a contract or business deal which some people see it as… It’s a spiritual bonding/union.
THE DEEP SECRET BEHIND THE WEDDING VOW. I…….take…..you to be my wife (or husband) to have and to hold from this day forward for better, for worse for richer, for poorer in sickness and in health to love and to cherish till death do us part according to God’s holy law and this is my solemn vow.
The vow that was said on the day of the wedding says a lot about what a marriage consists of. People have ignored this vow so much till date. The vow has a deep meaning beyond what we see, hear and say. It is a spiritual recitation that should not be ignored at all but people do not regard it as they see it as just a formality on the wedding day. It is indeed a shame that such a tectonic and consequential message is ignored and regarded as trivial. The vow is a pledge which the couple’s say to one another assuring each other that come what may they would still be there for each other. In times of trials and tribulation, in times of wealth and poverty, during the stormy rain and dryness in times of any disease(curable or incurable), and undying love till death do them part.
TIPS ON BUILDING A STRONG MARRIAGE. 1. PRAYER: THIS IS THE SOLUTION TO ALL PROBLEMS ONE CAN FACE. NEGLIGENCE OF PRAYER IS EQUAL TO MARRIAGE FAILURE. 2. TRUST: EVERY RELATIONSHIP (MARITAL OR NOT) SHOULD BE ABLE TO BOAST OF TRUST. WITHOUT TRUST THERE IS NO MOVING FORWARD. 3. IS IT WORTH IT?: ONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO ASK HIM/HERSELF THIS QUESTION. IS ENDING THIS MARRIAGE REALLY WORTH IT? IS THIS MISUNDERSTANDING REALLY A GOOD REASON FOR DIVORCE? IS THIS MISUNDERSTANDING REALLY WORTH THROWING AWAY THIS UNION AFTER ALL THESE YEARS? These are questions that should be running in your subconscious mind.Continue reading “BUILDING A STRONG MARRIAGE”
